Dig a hole (40 to 50cm deep) and fill with potting soil rich in humus, for example a combination of peat, heather soil and gritty sand. Visit a garden centre for high-quality soil.
Do you have a soil with a PH value higher than 8.0, a soil with a high level of underground water or a non-porous soil, we offer you some alternatives:
- Lay out raised borders (up to 60 cm high) and fill these with a rhododendron substrate.
- Dig a hole (60 to 70cm deep) and fill with 20cm of rubble stone, gritty sand and a combination of peat and gritty sand respectively.
- Cover your soil with peat (30cm). | |   |
